Textiles, Leathers & Nonwovens
Michem® Prime co-polymer dispersions are used to bond a broad range of nonwoven fibers, including PP, polyester, rayon and glass.
Surgical packs, gowns, gauzes, wipes, towels, sanitary napkins, disposable apparel, liners, bedding and many other products all utilize a binding system. The block resistance of any binder can be enhanced with a Michem® Lube or Michem® Emulsion product.
Michem® Prime products are also used to increase the water resistance of finishing treatments. They can be blended with pigments and flame retardant for an efficient, one-step process.
Fiber and needle lubricity are both improved with a Michem® Emulsion.
A wide variety of wax emulsions, including carnaubas, polyethylenes and paraffins, are used in the dressing, smoothing and tumbling of leather. Emulsions are also used to impart leather-like properties to synthetic materials.
