The traditional method of shipping corrosive items such as auto parts and electronics involved placing the part in a Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) bag or wrapper before inserting it into primary packaging.
Our RustBan® VCI treatment eliminated the need for secondary packaging. Metal products are now quickly and easily placed into RustBan-treated corrugated for storage or shipping. This takes a step out of the manufacturing operation, saving time and money while reducing waste and the risk of injury.
Bake-In
• Bake-in • High Performance Abrasion Resistance
With the advent of Michem® Coat, commercial bakery items such as muffins, danish, cookies and biscuits can be baked, frozen, shipped and served from a single corrugated tray. Michem® Coat is gluable, can tolerate a wide range of temperatures, provides excellent food release, meets FDA requirements, and is repulpable. This versatile coating has eliminated the purchase, cleaning and storage of metal baking trays. Bakers enjoy lower labor and material costs, and end users appreciate the simpler packaging.
High Performance Abrasion Resistance
The need for abrasion resistance has increased dramatically in recent years for two reasons:
Recycled fibers have replaced softer virgin kraft
Productivity pressures have driven manufacturers to pack goods as quickly as possible, often before the finish is fully cured
High performance Nomar™ addresses both these issues: it compensates for the rougher fibers and enables packing before the paint reaches full hardness, without the risk of scuffing.
Nomar is cold-set and hot-melt gluable, can withstand the heat of corrugation, is non-offsetting, repulpable and FDA approved. It is broadly used for primary packaging, partitions and cornerposts.
