Laminations
MichemPrime® co-polymer dispersions have strong adhesive bonds that make them useful in paper:paper, paper:foil and paper:film laminations. These clear, flexible coatings allow heat-sealing at low temperatures, and are pattern-applied in many situations to reduce costs.
Properties That Affect Laminations
Michem® Tite 242AF: Michem® Tite 242AF is a coating designed to provide a tenacious bond between corrugated and either Surlyn or polyethylene clear skin pack films, firmly trapping the product in between. It can only be glued with hot melt adhesives, except where the coating has been flexo applied and left off of the areas to be glued.
Michem® Tite 335AF: Michem® Tite 335AF is a coating which bonds corrugated to Surlyn or polyethylene skin pack films, firmly trapping the product in between. Adhesion to most water based or litho inks is excellent, but the inks must be wax-free. This product is hot melt gluable.
Michem® Tite 445AF: Michem® Tite 445AF is a coating which bonds heavily printed corrugated to Surlyn or polyethylene skin pack films, firmly trapping the product in between. Adhesion to most water based or litho inks is excellent, but the inks must be wax-free. Michem® Tite 445AF can only be glued with hot melt adhesives.
