PCL 500
Nonionic polyethylene emulsion
PCL500 is a paper lubricant applied to linerboard at the wet end of the doublebacker. It is designed to reduce hot plate frictional drag and improve board quality. In addition, PCL500 eliminates the smoky vapor cloud at the doublebacker, caused by oil based lubricants. Properly diluted, PCL500 is gluable and printable.
PCL500 should be applied at the wet end of the double backer.
