FibreMax® Series
Benefits and Uses
As the amount of recycled paperboard in corrugated boxes has increased, medium enhancement has become more and more important. FibreMax® is a water-based fiber treatment that increases the strength of paper and corrugated containers without sacrificing repulpability. FibreMax® reduces the energy, handling and maintenance costs associated with corrugated, and eliminates the need for retailers to separate waxed and unwaxed boxes.
- Increases stacking strength under humid conditions
- Water resistant
- Does not migrate to the doubleback liner, avoiding unsightly stains and printing problems
- Eliminates the in-plant safety issues of hot wax
- Enhances the strength of lower-quality fiber, or can be used for basis weight reduction
FibreMax® is used as a WIM replacement on corrugated containers for both perishable and non-perishable products.
FibreMax® 105B: FibreMax® 105B is a new alternative to paraffin wax for treating medium. It is a repulpable, machine ready, fiber treatment that increases the strength of paper and corrugated containers under humid conditions. FibreMax® 105B should not interfere with gluability.
FibreMax® 5000: FibreMax® 5000 is a new alternative to paraffin wax for treating medium. It is a repulpable, machine ready fiber treatment with the added benefit of water resistance. FibreMax® 5000 should not interfere with gluability.
FibreMax® 7040: FibreMax® 7040 is a new alternative to paraffin wax for treating medium. It is a repulpable, machine ready fiber treatment that increases the strength of paper and corrugated containers under humid conditions. FibreMax® 7040 should not interfere with gluability
